Okay, now that I look at this, it looks like Nolan is up to no good...That smile is a bit mischievous. I think he may just be excited!Nick had two interviews with a company called Bob Stroller. They make heavy duty jogging strollers and bike trailers to haul tents and camping gear on. They were really interested in Nick because of all his customer service experience. They are looking for someone to answer their e-mails and a few phone calls from customers. He would also direct any online forums on their websites. The man that interviewed him actually recognized him from the Kuna Zamzow's Nick worked at. He had taken a lawn care class from him, and he seemed impressed. He told Nick he had a few more interviews to conduct, and he would get back to him in a week or so.
In mid to late February, Nolan got a stomach bug. I think he got it form his little cousin Layla. They had been hanging out earlier in the week (she had been sick), and on Thursday evening after Nick put him down for bed, the sickness began. When I got home form work around midnight, Nick was holding Nolan and just looked at me in a daze. He said,"He's thrown up four time since I put him down for bed arund 8pm." Poor Nick. needless to say, he threw up about six more time that night. I just had him sleep in our room, and when he started breathing heavy, I knew he was going to throw up again.
The nice thing is that this only lasted the night, and he seemed better the next day. He was up and playing and having such a great time. Then come again at bed time, he starts throwing up again. Things went on like this for a week. After a couple of days, I decided he must have reflux. I got the stomach bug a couple days after Nolan, so I figured he had to have had it the first nigh or two. At night, he would just throw up what was in his stomach, and then he was fine for bed. No fever, no fussiness. He would just eat very little and throw up once at night. I decided to see Dr. Roman for this.
For anyone who doesn't know who she is, I think she is a miracle worker. She is an Osteopathic doctor specializing in Osteopathic manipulation. This is similar to what a chiropractor might do. It just seems like a much more natural approach to me. I love that we never have to use harsh medications, etc. Anyhow, Nolan has seen her since he was a little more than a week old for anything from a cone head to fussiness, reflux, and even constipation. Like I said before she is a miracle worker, and she really seems to care about her patients. She will even see Nolan on the weekends if things get worse. We love her! Anyhow, after seeing her, Nolan slept through the night without anymore reflux or throwing up. Yeah! Let me know if anyone out there would like her number.
About a week after Nick had his interview with the stroller company, they called him just to let him know they were still doing a couple of interviews and they hadn't forgotten about him. I thought that was really nice. I don't know of many companies that do that even if they do hire you, and it made Nick feel like he had something to look forward to. (Watch to see what happens next month...)
