November 2009!

November 2009!

So, every year for rad tech week (Radiologic Technologist Week) work has a football game. Usually it is Meridian Radiology vs. Boise Radiology and the the imaging centers take sides. This year we got to have our game on the Blue turf! I was very excited, and I decided that we could not miss this! Nolan had a very good time running around and playing with the other kids and playing with all the balls and other football equipment.

Nolan kept wanting to run out on the field with all the older players, but I would not let him as I feared for his life. So, during half-time, I let Nolan run free! He was happy, and he got a lot of energy out before nap time!

Here we see Nolan with his new friend Bethany ( Pictured below). This is my co-worker Phil's daughter. She is very friendly, and she took to Nolan very quickly. Nolan also made friends with a new baby named Keni (unfortunately we did not get a picture :(). He loves babies. He is always trying to kiss them and calls them all Layla. His cousin is named Layla, so I guess that's where he gets it from. Speak of the devil, here's a picture of Nolan and Layla. Nolan is usually so good with Layla now, and he usually loves to hang out with her. Here they are chilling out together. I can't wait till they get bigger and can interact a bit more together. I had my 29th birthday in November, and Mom came over and made home made meatloaf with salad and green bean casserole (thank you Gramma). It was very good, and it was nice to spend time with my parents and grandparents. We got to chat a bit, and we tried to get a couple of pictures of Nolan with Grampa and Great Grampa. Sometimes they just don't cooperate...
My wonderful cousin Nicole watches Nolan for us when both Nick and I are at work. I love it that he gets to interact with her four wonderful kids and learn to share etc. On day when we got to their house, I found Nicole putting the finishing touches on a new swing set. Nolan was very excited. I decided to let him try the little dual swing with his cousin Jaren. They are less than 2 months apart. They seemed to enjoy it!
Now just look at this smile! You gotta love it. I wish I could get Nolan one for his birthday this year, but we'll have to see...Maybe just a bike. He will get to play on the swing whenever it is nice outside at his cousin's, right?
I really like the holidays. I just love the time we get to spend with the family. This year we had a Thanksgiving meal at our house on Thanksgiving day. This is the second year we have done this, and it is pretty fun. Nick's Mom, little sister Chelsea, Granmma and Grampa, my brother Ryan, Krista, Layla, Ken, Amber, and Doug came over for a bit. It was a good turnout, and dinner improved since last year when we did this for the first time! There was so much yummy food, and we really enjoyed it.

I entertained my grandparents for quite a while with the digital picture frame we got this year with our tax returns. It was a very good investment. I would say they sat there watching it for at least a good 30 minutes looking at all the pictures. We did also watch a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving to entertain the others. Can't go wrong with that, eh?

On saturday following Thanksgiving, we went to Mom and Dad's house for the big Mairs' Family Thanksgiving Dinner. This always includes a large group of people, and much fun is had by all. This year Becky brought her honey Jerry home to meet the family and also brought along a couple more of her friends. It was good to meet them all. Jerry sure does seem like a nice guy, and he truely seems to care about Becky.

I forgot my camera, but luckily Becky shared some of her pictures with me. Thank you Becky! She got some really good shots of us all. I just wish I would have remembered mine too! Anyhow, Nolan and I are sitting here visiting with everyone. Nolan was a big fan of the sweet potatoes that Diane made and the jello salad Tiffany's mom Shauna made. Yum-o!This is probably the best picture ever of all the beautiful women in my family! From left to right we have Becky, Me (Windy), Elisa, and Mom (or Gramma Leeny). I think we all just look so good and you can truely see the family resemblance. I love these guys!!!Here are some pictures of my Gramma and her sister Della whom we have always called Aunt Dede since I can remember. I think they are so beautiful. I love them. They are two very sweet women and I look up to them both.
