Father's Day 2011

Father's Day this year was lots of fun and quite relaxing. Nick actually spoiled me more on his special day of the year. I'll have to work on that a little bit I suppose...

The funnest thing we did was go to the park and fly a kite. It was pretty windy that day, and Nolan had been asking to fly a kite for quite some time. We had a kite that we bought at the coast a couple of years ago, so we were set. Nolan was very excited!
We did get the kite up and flying quite a few times, but becuase it was a trick kite, it didn't stay up long. Every time we tried to let Nolan hold it, it went down fast. I think we have decided that for the future with Nolan we will get a cheaper more basic kite. Hopefully that will keep it up in the air for more than a couple seconds. I think Nolan was just so excited here that he decided to run into dad and force him to the ground. That's a fun boy thing to do I suppose...

Happy Father's Day Nick. Nolan, Ian, and I love you very much! You are a great father and great husband, and you just keep getting better every year. Thanks for all you do. I love ya more than you know!
